Chapultepec Park

Chapultepec Park is a wonderful place to visit in Mexico City. It is one of the largest urban parks in the world and has a wide variety of attractions and activities to enjoy.

• One of the main attractions of Chapultepec Park is the Castillo de Chapultepec, a beautiful castle that houses the National Museum of History. You can explore the different rooms of the castle and learn about the history of Mexico while enjoying amazing views of the city from the top of the hill.

• The National Museum of Anthropology (MNA) is one of the most important museums in Mexico and is located in Mexico City, specifically in the Bosque de Chapultepec area. It was inaugurated on September 17, 1964 and has played a fundamental role in the preservation, research and dissemination of the archaeological and anthropological heritage of Mexico.

• The architectural project of the museum was in charge of the renowned Mexican architect Pedro Ramírez Vázquez, in collaboration with the architects Jorge Campuzano and Rafael Mijares. The design of the building was inspired by pre-Hispanic elements, and its structure imitates the shape of a gigantic stepped pyre. The museum is surrounded by beautiful gardens and fountains that complement its architectural beauty.

• The Museum of Anthropology houses a vast collection of art and archaeological artifacts, distributed in various themed rooms. Some of the most outstanding exhibits include the Piedra del Sol (also known as the Aztec Calendar), the room dedicated to the Aztecs, the room of the cultures of Oaxaca, the Mayan room, the room of the Gulf of Mexico, among others.

• In addition, Chapultepec Park has artificial lakes where you can rent rowing boats and walk through the water. You can also enjoy extensive green areas for a picnic, walk or just relax.

• If you are interested in art and culture, you can visit the Museum of Modern Art and the Rufino Tamayo Museum, which are located inside the park. Both museums house important collections of contemporary and modern art, with works by renowned Mexican and international artists.
